LEARNING OBJECTIVE- To recognize that we eat different parts of plants,
such as roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds.
DISCUSSION-

• Identify the different parts of a plant.

• Explain that we eat various parts of plants, either raw or cooked.
• Carrots, radishes, and beets are examples of plant roots that we eat.
• Spinach and cabbage are edible leaves.
• Cauliflower and broccoli are the flowers of the plant.
• Sugarcane is an example of an edible stem.
• Tomatoes and cucumbers are the fruits of the plant.
• Cinnamon comes from the bark of the plant.
• Activity: Sort and classify common vegetables and fruits based on the
part of the plant they come from.
