2.  Hydrogen chloride is a gas in it’s pure form and does not conduct
                       electricity.

                          Reason- It’s a covalent molecule and does not carry charges.


               But aqueous HCl (hydrochloric acid) behaves as a good conductor of electricity.

               Reason- As HCl is a polar covalent molecule, it dissociates into it’s respective
                              -

               ions (H  & Cl ) and conducts electricity.
