Triangle and Star

LEARNING OBJECTIVE - To name, identify and recognize different objects
related to triangle and star shape.

DISCUSSION-
• Identify the different star and triangular shapes around them.
• To recognize and name some real-life objects which are triangular in

shapes such as sandwich, slice of a pizza, paratha, samosa, etc.
• To recognize and name some objects which are of star shape such as star
fish, Christmas star etc.

• Activity-”My shape book”
• Methodology to make a Christmas tree :

1. Trace the dotted lines of each
shape.
2. Tear and paste green colour paper

in the triangle shape.
3. Brown colour paper for rectangular

shape.
4. Yellow paper for the star shape.
5. Then cut the individual shapes and assemble all the shapes on a

chart paper to make the Christmas tree.

1. Have you ever eaten a samosa? What is its shape?
2. What is the shape of a pizza slice?

3. Have you ever seen the picture of a star fish?
4. At night what shines so bright in the sky?
