SMALL INTESTINE
• It is the longest part of the alimentary canal.
• It is approximately 6m in length.
• It is tubular in shape and is arranged in coils.
• It has three main parts-duodenum, jejunum, ileum.
The pulpy, acidic, semi-digested food (Chyme) received from the stomach gets
completely digested in small intestine by using three types of digestive juices :-
