Conservation of natural resources:
 We know that coal and petroleum are formed over a period of thousands of years when the
Remains of plants and animals were buried under the earth’s crust.
Coal
 Coal and petroleum are good sources of energy and it is important to conserve them because they
cannot be replenished quickly.
 If we want to continue to enjoy the benefits of these resources, we must conserve them.
 All our machines such as cars and other vehicles should be in good working condition. This prevents
the wastage of petrol and diesel.
 We should use alternative sources of energy such as wind, water and solar energy.
 Mining should be done in a way that prevents wastage.
 We should use electricity judiciously.
 Together we can ensure that there are enough natural resources for everyone.
