Multiplying by tens
• To multiply a number by 20, 30, 40,……….90, we multiply
that number respectively and put a zero to the right of the
product.
• Examples: 15 x 30 = 450
27 x 50 = 1350
23 x 70 = 1610
62 x 20 = 62 x 2 tens
=124 tens
= 1240
