Block Graph:

Learning objective: Students will be able to represent information in a
               block graph and interpret it.

               • Representation of collected information with the help of blocks is known
                   as Block Graph.

               • A block graph uses square blocks instead of pictures to show the
                   information that has been collected.

               • A block graph (also known as a block diagram) is a simple way to
                   present data with coloured squares.
               • Each block represents one item or objects.

               • The types of each object are written along the bottom of the graph and
the number of each object is written along the side.

Example: The hobbies of a class of 20 students. 5 students like
dancing.3 students like swimming.7 students like reading.5 students like
                   cooking.

               • Let us now make a block graph for the above data.
