P. 2
Multiplication Facts:
1. The product of two number s does not change even if we change the order of the
number.
Example: 4 x 6 = 6 x 4 = 24
2. Any number multiply by ‘0’, the product will be 0.
Example: 369765 x 0 = 0.
3. Any number multiply by ‘1, the product will be the number itself.
Example: 369765 x 1 = 369765.
4. The product of the numbers does not change even if we change the grouping of
the numbers.
Example: (3 x4)x5 =3 x (4x 5)
5. Multiplying the sum of addend by a number will give the same results as
multiplying each addend individually by the number and then adding the products
together.
Example: 2 x (5 + 6) = 2 x 5 + 2 x 6
Multiplication by 10, 100, 1000:
1. To multiply a given number by 10: Multiply the non-zerogiven number by 1 and
insert one ‘0’ on the right side of the product.
