TOPIC- Measurement

                 SUB-TOPIC- Length

LEARNING OBJECTIVE- To compare, identify, and measure the

length of objects using vocabulary such as "longer," "shorter," and
                 "same length."

                 DISCUSSION-
                    • When we want to know how long something is, we measure its

                        length.

                    • While comparing the lengths of two objects, it should start at

the same point and can be placed horizontally.

                    • Length refers to the size of an object or the distance between
                        two points.
                    • We often use non-standard measurements for length, such as

Span (distance from the little finger to thumb), Cubit (elbow to
tip of the middle finger), and Foot Span (tip of the big toe to the

ankle). When comparing lengths, we describe objects as long or

                        short.

                    Activity:

                    • Keep some real-life objects and compare their length.
                    • Make two different sizes of snakes with the help of the play

                        dough to compare the length.

                    • Measure the length of your pencil box using an eraser.
                    • Measure the length of your rug using feet.

                 REVISION QUESTIONS (Oral)

                    • When comparing the length of your hair to your mom's hair,

                        whose hair is longer?
                    • Using your foot span, if you compare the length of your room to

the length of your bed, which one is longer?
