TYPES OF HABITATS
The different types of habitats are -
                1. Aquatic
                2. Terrestrial
                3. Aerial habitat
                4. Arboreal habitat
            TERRESTRIAL HABITAT
                ▪ The surface of land serves as the terrestrial habitat.
                ▪ A wide variety of plants and animals live on land.
            Terrestrial habitat includes -
                       • Deserts
                       • Forests

                       • Mountains
                       • Grasslands
Examples of the terrestrial organisms are - Horse, deer, humans, tree, snake, and elephant,
            etc.
            AQUATIC HABITAT-
Water bodies of all forms serve as aquatic habitats.
            Example-Ponds, lakes, rivers, and ocean.

Aquatic habitat is further classified into
                                             • Marine habitat
                                             • Freshwater habitat
                ▪ Example of the aquatic organisms are Fish, duck, and algae
                ▪ Organisms such as frogs and salamanders live in both on lands as well as water and
                    are called amphibians.
            AERIAL HABITAT-
Organisms that spend a considerable amount of time suspended in the air are called aerial
            organisms.
            Example-Birds

            ARBOREAL HABITAT-
            Arbor- meaning tree.
Organisms that spend the most crucial part of their lives on the trees are called as arboreal
            organisms.
            Example-Monkey, squirrels, and some birds.
