d. These compounds are brittle and break into small pieces easily.
Reason- Due to their crystalline structure.
e. Electrovalent compounds usually dissolve in water and are insoluble in solvents
like oil, petrol, kerosene, etc.
Reason- As water is a polar solvent and ionic compounds also carry charges,
they readily dissolve in water.
f. Ionic compounds do not conduct electricity in a solid-state but they do conduct
electricity in the molten state.
Reason- The charged particles i.e. Ions are mobile in their aqueous medium.
So they conduct electricity.
