• Properties of Ionic Compounds-

                a. The electrostatic forces of attraction between oppositely charged ions is very
strong and leads to the formation of ionic compounds which are usually
                    SOLIDS.

                b. Ionic Compounds have high boiling and melting points.

Reason- The electrostatic forces of attraction between oppositely charged
ions is very strong and hence requires a lot of energy to break these strong
                    forces of attraction.

                c. Ionic compounds form crystals.

Reason- These crystalline shapes are formed due to the arrangement of constituent
particles in a specific arrangement known as crystal lattice.
