PET Chemical Formula: (C10H8O4) n
Polyethylene Use is Solar Panels and Automotive Parts
ACRYLIC:
Acrylic is man-made fibre which resembles wool.
It is also called as artificial wool or synthetic wool, due to its wool-like feel.
It is made from a chemical called ‘Acrylonitrile’ by the process of polymerization.
It is manufactured as a filament, then cut into short staple lengths similar to wool hairs, and
spun into yarn.
Properties of Acrylic:
Acrylic is lightweight, soft and warm with a wool-like feel.
Acrylic resists shrinkage and wrinkles.
Acrylic is cheaper than natural wool and can be made in various colours by dyeing.
Acrylic fibres are strong, durable and has a ‘Quick-dry’ quality, as it absorbs very less
water.
It has a resistant to moths and most chemicals.
