        ACRYLIC:

 Acrylic is man-made fibre which resembles wool.

 It is also called as artificial wool or synthetic wool, due to its wool-like feel.

 It is made from a chemical called ‘Acrylonitrile’ by the process of polymerization.

 It is manufactured as a filament, then cut into short staple lengths similar to wool hairs, and

               spun into yarn.

            Properties of Acrylic:

 Acrylic is lightweight, soft and warm with a wool-like feel.

 Acrylic resists shrinkage and wrinkles.

 Acrylic is cheaper than natural wool and can be made in various colours by dyeing.

 Acrylic fibres are strong, durable and has a ‘Quick-dry’ quality, as it absorbs very less

               water.

 It has a resistant to moths and most chemicals.
