               LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

               After this lesson, students will be able to:

                     Define and explain the characteristics of short stories and narratives.
                     Analyse characteristics of short stories.
                     Create a short narrative story with collaboration.
                     Put their skills to the pen and work to create a short story.
                     Develop writing skills in the context of writing a short story.
                     Develop the ability to identify and use narrative tenses while writing.
                     Develop the ability to work co-operatively in pairs or in a small group.
                     Recognize the elements of a short story.
                     Develop their functional writing skills.
                     Display experience of writing creatively in the medium of the short story.
                     Strengthen their functional writing skills by preparing short stories.
                     Learn the importance of specificity, descriptions, and explanations in academia, speech,
                       and other areas of life.

                     Acknowledge the importance of storytelling, the rough draft, and creativity in
                       storytelling.
                     Write strong endings to their narratives.
