BEHAVIOURAL ADAPTATION
MIGRATION:
The large-scale movement of animals from one place to another in order to escape the
extreme weather conditions, in search of food or suitable breeding grounds is called
migration.
Certain animals travel great distances at a particular time of the year.
In Birds:
Birds living in extremely cold places fly long distances to warmer places in search of food
and shelter.
Example: the Siberian cranes migrate to India every winter.
Once the winter is over, they fly back to their native place.
