Igneous rock……..

• The intense pressure inside

the earth pushes the magma

towards the surface of the

Earth through vents and

volcanoes. When volcanoes

erupt they throw out

magma. When this magma

reaches the Earth surface, it

is called Lava. Then it cools

and hardens to form igneous

rocks.

• The first rock on Earth was

igneous rocks.
