Steps to be followed for

construction of a circle

 Step 3 – Mark a point O on the

plane of the paper. Rest the

metal tip of the compass firmly

at O.

 Step 4 – Now hold the head of Step 4 – Now hold the head of


the compass firmly and move

the pencil point around to trace

a circle of radius 4 cm. Always

name the radius as AB/CD

/OP.

Important note

Diameter = 2x radius
