Steps to be followed for
construction of a circle
Draw a circle of radius 4 cm
with the help of compass.
Step 1 – Fix a sharp pencil in
the pencil holding arms of the
t h e p e n c i l h o l d i n g a r m s o f t h e
compass firmly.
Step 2 – Fix the metal tip of
the compass on the ruler at
0and open out the compass in
such a way that its tip rests on
4 cm mark on the ruler.
