P. 2

2. Any number multiply by ‘0’, the product will be 0.
                       Example: 369765 x 0 = 0.
                   3. Any number multiply by ‘1, the product will be the number itself.
                       Example: 369765 x 1 = 369765.
                   4. The product of the numbers does not change even if we change the grouping of
                       the numbers.
                       Example: 2x (4x5) =(2 x 4)x 5

                   5. Multiplying the sum of addend by a number will give the same results as
multiplying each addend individually by the number and then adding the products
                       together.

                   Example: 2 x (5 + 6) = 2 x 5 + 2 x 6

                   **Multiplication by 10, 100, 1000

                   1. To multiply a given number by 10: Multiply the non-zerogiven number by 1 and
insert one ‘0’ on the right side of the product.
                       Example: 1 305 x 10
                       Step 1: Multiply 305 x 1=305
Step 2: Now, insert one ‘0’ at the right side of the product.
Step 3: Hence, the product is 3050.
                   2. To multiply a given number by 100: Multiply the non-zero given number by 1 and
insert two ‘00’ on the right side of the product.
                       Example:1 345 x 100
                       Step 1: Multiply 345 x 1=345
