Conversion of litres into millilitres
• To convert litres (greater unit) into millilitres (smaller unit),
we multiply the number of litres by 1000.
Examples: a) convert 7 l into ml
As you know, 1 l = 1000 ml
Thus, 7 l = 7 x 1000 = 7000 ml
b) Convert 4 l 622 ml into ml We can’t add two different
As you know, 1 l = 1000 ml units together. We have to
convert both into similar
units and then add.
4 l = 4 x 1000 = 4000 ml
Thus,4 l 622 ml = 4000 ml + 622 ml = 4622 ml
