Always remember that possessive pronouns do not have an apostrophe.
For example:
Is that car yours?
No,mine is a red car.
The house belongs to them.It is theirs.
The food belongs to us.It is ours.
It is his pencil.
When we want to use a pronoun to show possession,we cannot use
subject pronouns.
This is my brother.He name is Alex.
Does this sentence make sense?
No, because „He‟ is a subjectpronoun. Now if you replace it with
possessive pronoun then it will make sense.
This is my brother.His name is Alex.
