Object Pronouns




          The object of a verb is the person, animal or thing that receives


                                                                     the action of the verb.




        Dad sometimes helps me with my homework.


         In this sentence the pronoun “me” is the



               object of the verb “helps”.









                                       Lisa likes cats. She likes to stroke them.



                                        In the first sentence “Lisa” is the subject of the verb


                                              “likes” where as the “cat” is the object of the same


                                              verb.


                                        In the second sentence the pronoun “them” is the



                                              object of the verb “stroke”.
