The grid method (also known as the box method) of multiplication is
an introductory approach to multi-digit multiplication calculations that
involve numbers larger than ten.
In a grid table, one number is along a row, the other down a column,
and the results are shown where a row and column meet.
Ex 1: Select 4 from row and 5 from column. When we multiply 4 x 5, we
get 20.
Ex 2: Select 9 from row and 8 from column. When we multiply 8 x 9, we
get 72.
Learning outcome: Students were able to interpret the multiplication grid
and derive the multiplication tables upto10 using multiplication grid.
