Subtraction with borrowing - Step 1
Now we have to start subtraction.

Starting from ones-place column, as 3 is smaller than 8, so
1 ten = 10 ones is borrowed from tens-place column. Now, ones-place
column value is 10 ones + 3 ones = 13 ones. 13 > 8. So, we can easily
subtract 13 ones – 8 ones = 5 ones. We have to write 5 under ones-place
column.
As we have borrowed 1 ten from Tens-place column so now in Tens-
place Minuend has become 5 tens – 1 ten = 4 tens.
