Lesson Plan 4 – Ordinal numbers

Learning objective: Students will be able to identify the ordinal numbers and their
related positions.

 An ordinal number refers to a number that indicates the position or order
of things or objects, such as first, second, third, fourth, and so on.

 Ordinal numbers are written as First, Second, Third, Fourth and so on, or

in numerals as 1 , 2 , 3rd, …..20 , etc.
 They are indicated by “st”, “nd”, “rd” and “th”.
