Lesson Plan 3 – Odd and even numbers
Learning objective: Students will be able to classify collections in terms of odd
and even.
Odd number: An odd number is a number that cannot be divided into two
equal groups.
Odd numbers end with 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 regardless of how many digits they
have.
Example: - 59, 657, 723, 341 and so on.
Even numbers: An even number is a number that can be divided into two
equal groups.
Even numbers end with 2, 4, 6, 8 and 0 regardless of how many digits they
have.
Example: - 88, 360, 462, 504, and so on.
Learning Outcome: Students were able to classify collections in terms of odd and
even.
