1.STRENGTH



          Meaning –It is the ability of muscles to overcome resistance .


           It is of two types.


          1.Dynamic strength(Isotonic Strength)-It is the ability of muscles

              to exert the resistance with motion.


          Types


          Maximum strength-Ex-Required in all throwing events and in

              short period activities


          Explosive strength(Explosive Power)Ex-Sprint start , Weight
              lifting  ,Shot put , Discus throw ,etc .


          Strength Endurance-Ex-Long distance run,Cycling , Swimming ,

              combative sports , etc.


          2.Static Strength(Isometric)-It is the ability of muscles to exert the

              resistance from a stationary position.
