SUB-TOPIC: - ENTREPRENEURIAL VALUES, ATTITUDES AND MOTIVATION
1. The set of beliefs that provide standards which guide behavior is known as
‘values’.
The various factors which influence entrepreneurial values are as follows:
(i) Action Factors: Arise due to the action of others and influence of
others.
(ii) Environment Factors: Arise out of the environment in which an
entrepreneur operates.
(iii) Personality Factors: Depends upon the personality of the
entrepreneur.
2. Core Values:
(i) Innovation and Creativity:
Creativity is the ability to see new ways of doing things.
Innovativeness is the ability to make it work in practice.
(ii) Self-reliance:
Independence or Ownership
Strong and Positive Ego drive
(iii) Respect For Work:
Hard work
Goal direction
(iv) Quest for Outstanding Performance:
Challenges
Strong motivation
3. Attitude: It constitutes an important psychological attributes of individuals,
which shape their behavior. It generally exhibits the following features:
(i) Affects behavior.
