SUB-TOPIC: - TYPES OF ENTREPRENEURS AND INTRAPRENEURSHIP
1. Types of Entrepreneurs:
(i) Classification of Entrepreneurs by Danhof:
(a) Innovative Entrepreneurs: They prefer to explore new technology,
new market etc.
They are generally aggressive and enthusiastic in practicing and
experimenting new and attractive possibilities.
(b) Imitative Entrepreneurs: They just imitate the technology and
practice as innovative entrepreneurs.
(c) Fabian Entrepreneurs: They depend upon past practices, customs,
traditions and religions.
(d) Drone Entrepreneurs: They never prefer to go for any change in
production, technology and market.
(ii) Classification of Entrepreneurs by Wagner:
(a) Trailblazers: A generator of new ideas and business processes. A
person who discovers something new and makes it acceptable or
popular.
(b) Go-getters: Someone who is very energetic, determined to be
successful and able to deal with new difficult situations easily. They
are also good collaborators.
(c) Managers: They are dominant, independent and are goal oriented
as well as can be quite analytical, focusing more on process and
outcomes, than on people.
(d) Motivators: These entrepreneurs do well working by, with and
through others. They work well under pressure.
