 Group of 4 apples.
                    3 groups of 4 apples.

Learning outcome: Children can identify different groupings
and also can state the number of groups. They can group given

objects into 2,3,4 and so on.

               Lesson2. Face value

Learning objective: Children will be able to identify the face
               value of any number.

                 Notes:
 Face value of a digit is the value of the digit itself, in a

                       number.
 Whether the number is single-digit or double-digit or of any

number of digits ,each digit has its face value.
 Let us understand with the help of examples. For number 2,
two or 2 is the face value.

 The face value of numbers from 1 – 9 is the number itself
                       like 1-one, 2-two, 3-three ,4-four, 5-five, 6-six, 7-

seven, 8-eight, 9-nine. After 9 double digit starts like 10,
11, 12….. and so on . Here also if we take number 12 then

face value of 1 is one and face value of 2 is two.
 Face value does not change with change of place of the

                       numbers.
Learning outcome: Children can identify the face value of any
               number.

               Lesson 3.Place value
Learning objective: Children will learn about place value of double

               digit numbers.
