  The number which shows more objects is greater.  Ex- 5

                                 
                     The number which shows fewer objects is smaller.  Ex- 3

                             

                     Comparison of numbers is shown with the help of signs.




























               Ex- 10>5 or10 is greater than 5


               While comparing, to avoid confusion we always compare the first

               number with the second number and hence say 12 is greater than 10 ,

               if the sum is 12 > 10.


               Learning outcome: Children cancompare numbers and identify

               larger number from the smaller number.

               Learning Objective: Children will learn to compare double digit

               numbers (numbers within 50) and find out larger and smaller

               numbers.


               NOTE: Comparison means to find out which number is greater and
               which number is smaller.
