Less than

When the number on the right side is greater

than the number on the left side, we use less

than symbol (<).

Ex-

80<90

Here in this example 80 comes before 90 while counting,so 80

is less than 90.
Another way to compare is by compairing tens, here in 80

there is 8 tens and 0 ones and in 90 there is 9 tens and 0

ones . So the number that has less tens is smaller. Hence 80

is less than 90.
