(d) 1005 × 168

                                            = (1000 + 5) × 168

                                            = (168 × 1000) + (168 × 5)

[By the distributive property of multiplication over addition]

                                            = 168000 + 840

 Zero property of whole numbers:
                           Addition property of zero
Any whole number when added with zero remains the same; this is called the zero property of
               addition of whole numbers. For example, 0 + 7 = 7, 6 + 0 = 6.
                           Multiplication property of zero
Any whole number when multiplied with zero the result always becomes zero; this is called the zero
               property of multiplication of whole numbers. For example, 0 × 7 = 0, 6 × 0 = 0.
