• Invented by the Wright Brothers in 1903.
• Marked a new era in transportation — air travel.
• Enabled people to cover long distances in a short time.

Modern Transportation
• Today, we have various modes of transport to meet different needs:
1. Land: Cycle, Bike, Auto-rickshaw, Car, Bus, Train
2. Water: Boats, Ships
3. Air: Helicopters, Aeroplanes
• Transportation systems have become faster, safer, and more efficient.
