Steps5: Change to its lowest term or mixed fraction.
Rule: First convert the mixed fraction to improper fraction and then multiply the dividend
by the reciprocal of the divisor.
Example:
Division of a whole number by a fraction
Steps1: Change the whole number to its reciprocal.
Steps2: Multiply the numerator / Multiply the denominator.
Steps3: Write it as a fraction.
Steps4: Change to its lowest term or mixed fraction.
Rule: A whole number ÷ by a fraction = the whole number x reciprocal of the fraction.
