Multiplicative inverse or reciprocal.
To write the reciprocal of a fraction we need to interchange the numerator and
denominator
Example.
a) The reciprocal of 2/5 = 5/2
b) The reciprocal of 10 = 1/10
c) The reciprocal of 1/19 =19
Division of a fraction by a whole number
Steps1: Change the whole number to its reciprocal.
Steps2: Multiply the numerator / Multiply the denominator.
Steps3: Write it as a fraction.
Steps4: Change to its lowest term or mixed fraction.
Rule: A fraction ÷ a whole number = Fraction x reciprocal of the whole
number.

Example : Divide by 7 = 2/3 x1/7 = 2 x 1=2/21

Division of fraction by a fraction
Steps1: Change the second fraction to its reciprocal.
Steps2: Multiply the numerator / Multiply the denominator.
Steps3: Write it as a fraction.
Steps4: Change to its lowest term or mixed fraction.
Rule:In order to divide a fraction by another we multiply the dividend by the
reciprocal of the divisor.
