               Topic- Clock

Sub-Topic- Digital & Analogue clock, Half past

               Learning Objective:

                   ● Able to understand how to read and represent "half past"
                       time.

               Discussion:

                   • Show them the analog clock and digital clock.
                   • Ask if they know what time "half past" means and if they

have seen it on a clock before.

                   • Explain that "half past" means it's 30 minutes past the

hour and shows them how it looks on both types of clocks.
                   • Explain that when the minute hand points to the 6, it

means it's half past the hour and the hour hand points

                       between two numbers.

                   • Show the analog clock to demonstrate the concept of "half

past ‘’ by moving the hour and minute hands to show
                       different half past times (e.g., 4:30, 7:30).

               Revision Questions (oral):

                   • Look at the clock and read the time.

                   • Which hand helps us to see the minute?

                   • When the hour hand is at 12 and the minute hand is on 2,
                       what will be the time?

                   • Where will be the short hand at 9 0’clock?

                   • Where will be the long hand at 8 o’clock?
