               Topic- Clock

Sub-Topic- Hour hand & Minute hand

               Learning Objective:

                   ● Able to read the clock by seeing the hour hand on any
number and minute hand on 12.

               Discussion:

                   • Show them the clock and ask if they know what a clock is
used for and what the hands on the clock represent.

                   • Explain that clocks help us tell time and the hour and
minute hands show us different parts of the time.

                   • Explain how to read a clock and about the long hand and

                       short hand.

                   • Explains that short hand shows the hours and is called
the hour hand. The long hand shows the minutes and is

                       called the minute hand.

                   • Discuss that the hour hand tells the hour. For ex- when

the long hand is on 12 and short hand is on 4. We say it's

                       4 o’ clock.

               Revision Questions (oral):

                   • Which hand helps us see the hour?

                   • When the hour hand is at 12 and the minute hand is also

on 12, what will be the time?

                   • Can you show me where the hour hand is when it's 3
                       o'clock?"
                   • Can you show 6 o'clock time by drawing?
