01            Cardinal Directions







         • North is one of the four principal compass directions. It is
             typically associated with upward direction on maps and
                              topographic representations.

               • South is the opposite of north and indicates the
                  downward direction on maps. It serves as a key
                             reference point in navigation.

             • East is one of the cardinal directions positioned 90
             degrees clockwise from north. It is where the sun rises,
                        making it significant for time keeping.

         • West is one of the four cardinal directions, signifying the
                side of the sunset. It is essential for orientation and
                                         navigation.
