But human beings live in a community therefore the health of the community is an

important factor for an individual's health.
⚫ Community health refers to the maintenance, protection, and improvement of the

whole community in which an individual lives or interacts.
For example:

a) Due to the cyclone, flood, etc. the health of every individual is at risk due to the non-

availability of drinking water, waterlogged conditions, etc.
b) Poor drainage facility leads to stagnant water leads to increased chances of malaria or

dengue etc.
c) Proper disposal of garbage to ensure cleanliness and good health.
