  The flower in these plants release their pollen grains into the water, which are
                       carried to the female flowers through water currents.
                     Some examples are :-vallisneria, hydrilla etc.,




















               Pollinating Agents                             Characteristic of the plant
               Insect pollination                             Insect pollinated plants are usually bright,
                                                              have  flowers  with  large  colourful  petals,
                                                              sweet scent and nectar. The pollens are
                                                              sticky surface.
               Wind pollination                               Wind  pollinated  flowers  are  usually  dull.
                                                              They  lack  attractiveness,  nectar  and
                                                              odour.  The  pollens  are  very  light  and
                                                              smooth.  The  stigma  hangs  out  of  the
                                                              flower and is usually feathery in order to
                                                              catch the pollen
               Water pollination                              Pollen grains are covered by waxy layer
                                                              and the stigma is sticky.
