➢ Cycle tyres often burst when kept under the sun for a very long time. This is

because of the fact that air expands on heating. The air present inside the cycle tube

gets heated up by absorbing heat from the sun and starts expanding. This, in turn,
results in the expansion and bursting of the cycle tube.
