SIR SYED AHMED KHAN
• He was born on 17 October 1817 in Delhi.
• He started the movement for the spread of
modern education and social reforms among
the people during the British rule in India.
• He founded the Translation Society at Aligarh
which was later renamed as the Scientific
Society.
• He founded the Aligarh Muslim University.
