Breathing polluted air can have adverse effects on human health. Air
pollution causes breathing problems and diseases such as asthma, lung
cancer and bronchitis.
Animals are also affected when they inhale polluted air. Pollutants present
in the air settle down on water bodies and crops, causing damage to both.
