POLLUTION

                 Human  activities  lead  to  the  production  of  waste  materials  that  had
                   deteriorated our environment and make them unsuitable for the life.

                 Unwanted  and  undesirable  substances  present  in  air,  water  and  soil  are
                   called as pollutant. For example, Smoke, Dust particles etc.


                 The addition of harmful, unwanted substances to the environment is called
                   Pollution.

               On  the  basis of the contaminated source, pollution can  be broadly classified
               into mainly four types:


































               I.   AIR POLLUTION


                 The presence or introduction of harmful substances into the air that can
                   have harmful effects is known as air pollution.


                 Air pollution can be caused by nature or man. Pollution such as forest fires,
                   decaying organic matter, volcanoes, dust storms, etc. are examples of
                   pollution caused by nature.


               
