POLLUTION
Human activities lead to the production of waste materials that had
deteriorated our environment and make them unsuitable for the life.
Unwanted and undesirable substances present in air, water and soil are
called as pollutant. For example, Smoke, Dust particles etc.
The addition of harmful, unwanted substances to the environment is called
Pollution.
On the basis of the contaminated source, pollution can be broadly classified
into mainly four types:
I. AIR POLLUTION
The presence or introduction of harmful substances into the air that can
have harmful effects is known as air pollution.
Air pollution can be caused by nature or man. Pollution such as forest fires,
decaying organic matter, volcanoes, dust storms, etc. are examples of
pollution caused by nature.
