1.  RIBCAGE :

                 Ribs are curved bones in the body. There are 24 bones or 12 pairs of curved

                   bones or ribs.
                 The ribs are curiously bent. Out of these 12 pairs, 10 pairs join the breast
                   bone in the front and the back bone at the back together to form a cage-
                   like structure or box. This is called a ribcage.
                 Ribcage protects the internal organs of the body like heart and lungs.
                 Two ribs are free as they are only attached to the backbone and not to the
                   breastbone and are called floating ribs.
                 The ribs allow certain kind of movement of the chest during breathing.

               2.  LIMBS :

                 The human body has two pairs of limbs :
                  1.  FORELIMBS - the arms are known as the forelimbs.
                  2.  HIND LIMBS - the legs are known as the hind limbs.
                 The bone in the upper arm is called the humerous

                 The elbow joins the upper arm and the forearm. There are two bones in the
                   forearm.
                 A no. Of small bones make up the hand and the wrist.
                 The thigh has the longest bone of the body called the femur.
                 It bears the weight of the whole body.
                 The  knee  joins  the  thigh  and  the  lower  leg.  There  are  two  bones  in  the
                   lower leg.
                 Many small bones are present in the ankle and the feet.

                 The stirrup is the smallest bone in the body. It is found inside the ear. It is
                   almost half the size of a rice grain.
