Coniferous Forests

                   A) Features- The tree are covered with tall, cone shaped trees which have long
                       needle like leaves. The leaves help the snow to slide during winter.

                   B)  Areas- The slopes of Himalayas, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh,
                       Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh.

                   C)  Trees- pine, fir, oak, deodar and spruce.


               Tidal Forests(Mangrove Forest)


                            Features- The mangrove trees of these forests can survive in fresh as
                              well as salty water of the sea.
                            Areas- West Bengal has the largest stretch of Mangrove forests

                              known as Sunderbans.
                            Trees- Sundari trees.
