MOVEMENTS OF THE EARTH - ROTATION
i) Earth’s movement on its own axis is
known as rotation.
ii) It takes 24 hours for the Earth to
complete the rotation.
iii) This rotation causes day and night
on the Earth.
iv) During rotation, the side that
receives the sunlight has day time.
v) The opposite side remains dark and
has night time.
