LIFE CYCLE OF A HEN
• The hen lays eggs. The baby
or embryo inside the egg
develops into a chick inside
the egg. The yolk acts as a
source of food for it.
• The albumen protects the
embryo from jerks and
shocks.
• When the embryo fully
develops into a chick it
breaks open the shell and
comes out.
• This is known as hatching.
• Slowly the chick grows into an
adult chicken.
