• Karl Marx was born on 5 May 1818. he was from
Germany.
• The most notable being the Communist Manifesto of Das
Kapital.
• Marxism is the theory of revolution and basic explanation
how societies grow through the process of change.
• 2 basic ideas in Marxism is:
1) Materialism
2) Class Struggle
• Marx argued that human society had progressed through
different stages. They are:
a) Primitive Communism:
The simplest and the lowest form of the mode of production.
Society was based on cooperation and mutual help due to
communal ownership of means of production.
b) Slavery:
In this form of society the primitive equality gave way to social
inequality and the emergence of masters and slaves.
C)Feudal society:
The feudal lord oppressed and exploited their serves. The land was
crucial productive factor and feudal lords owner and control it.
d) Capitalist Society:
The most significant contradiction of the capitalist mode of
production is one which give rise to a conflict of opposites which
